  • A. Sensepoint XCD

    Sensepoint XCD now has remote monitoring capabilities for its toxic and Oxygen sensors. Its remote capability is designed to offer excellent flexibility of use and is an ideal solution for hard-to-reach locations or areas where the transmitter needs to be separate from the sensor. With remote toxic and Oxygen sensor mounting of up to 100 feet (30m) away from the transmitter, Sensepoint XCD provides a robust monitoring solution even in challenging environments where detection is difficult, including applications where the point of detection is in an area that is not easily accessible or where the detector would not be visible, like in high or low level concealed areas or outside a room being monitored.

    Sensepoint XCD is easy to use. The sensor simply plugs into the bottom of the transmitter and the transmitter automatically configures itself accordingly. Users can modify detector operation using the LCD and magnet switches without ever needing to open the unit. This enables one-man, non-intrusive operation and reduces routine maintenance time and costs.
    A tri-color backlit LCD clearly indicates the unit’s status at a glance, even from a distance. A steady green backlight indicates normal operation, flashing yellow indicates fault and flashing red indicates an alarm.

    All detectors are supplied pre-configured and include two programmable alarm relays, one programmable fault relay as well as an industry standard 4-20mA output (sink or source selectable) and MODBUS communication. The scale, range, relay operation, alarm set point and electronic tag number of the detector can be adjusted using the transmitter’s LCD and non-intrusive magnetic switches. Outputs are automatically inhibited during adjustment, thereby reducing the risk of false alarm at the control panel during maintenance.

  • A. Unipoint Controller

    Unipoint can be easily installed into any plastic or metal enclosure for use indoor or outdoors and even in potentially explosive atmospheres. With the addition of one of Honeywell Analytics’ range of flammable, toxic or Oxygen detectors, systems may be configured to monitor gases in a wide range of applications from car parks and boiler houses to analyser shelters or crane cabs in offshore facilities.

    Two versions of Unipoint are available; one for mV bridge, catalytic bead type, flammable gas detector and the other for any 2 or 3 wire 4-20mA type gas detector. Each Unipoint is easily installed onto the DIN rail via a special socket (provided) that also interconnects power to adjacent units. With removable terminal connectors, individual Unipoint controllers can be easily changed without disturbing other devices.

    By clipping together multiple Unipoints small to medium sized monitoring solutions can be realised. Each unit includes built-in audio/visual alarms, three programmable alarm relays and a fault relay. Gas concentration and system status is displayed on the backlit LCD and each controller is fully user programmable via an intuitive, push button operated menu system. Configuration menus can be password protected to prevent unauthorised access. In addition remote inputs allow accept, reset and inhibit of alarms without the need to open the enclosure that the Unipoint is mounted in.

    The FS24X is the latest generation high technology Multi-Spectrum Triple IR (IR/IR/IR/Visible) Flame Detector, which is part of our FSX family of advanced technology Electro-Optical fire detectors. Using our patented* WideBand IR™, WideBand 4.3 micron IR™, and Visible detection technology, the FS24X is a quantum leap in flame detection. Sophisticated software algorithms and dual microprocessors ensure that the FS24X has the highest fire detection performance combined with optimal false alarm rejection.

    The WideBand IR™ Infrared technology using high-speed solid-state Quantum sensors allows detection of all types of fires, hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon, in all weather conditions. If the detector’s signal is blocked by ordinary window glass, the patented WideBand IR sensors will still alarm to the fire but at a reduced sensitivity and slower response time.

    Dual microprocessors provide a high level of fail-safe operation combined with fast and reliable performance. The Master Microprocessor performs high-speed digital sampling and signal-processing calculations; while the slave microprocessor handles various sensor data, performs communications, self-diagnostics and provides interface versatility; and additional memory for storing Event Log and FirePic™ data.

FirePic™ records pre-fire data, which can be recovered from the Detector’s non-volatile flash memory for post fire analysis and postulation of the fire cause.   • C. Sensepoint XCD RFD

    Sensepoint XCD RFD (Remote Flammable Detector) has been specifically designed for use with remotely mounted flammable gas sensors. This configuration is ideal for applications where the sensor is required to be mounted remotely from the transmitter in areas where temperatures are well above ambient (up to 150°C/302°F), or that are difficult to access. The transmitter can be mounted at a suitable location away from this area where it is easy to access, view its display and interact with via the user interface.

     

  • C. SS4

    SS4-A
    The SS4-A represents the world’s pre-eminent UV/IR technology for Electro-Optical Flame Detectors with tens of thousands successfully operating in a multitude of installations worldwide. This multi-spectrum detector senses radiant energy in the ultraviolet (UV), visible and Wide Band Infrared™ (IR) spectrum. The radiant energy from all types of flaming fires will alert the detector to their presence.

    To eliminate common nuisance false alarms that occasionally occur with UV-only, IR-only, Dual IR or Dual Mode UV/IR detectors, the SS4 Flame Detectors’ FireLogic signal processing requires that UV, visible and Wide Band IR radiant energy all be evaluated before declaring a fire. The smart detector utilizes real-time signal processing algorithms that are optimized to alarm on all types of fires, while virtually eliminating the possibility of
    false alarms.

    SS4-AS
    The SS4-AS processes UV, IR and Visible (VIS) spectral ranges from ruggedized solar-blind UV, “Quantum-Effect” IR and VIS sensors correspondingly. It is optimized for detection of hydrogen, ethanol, methanol and methane (natural gas) fires and like the other detectors in its family, it responds to Type A, B and C flaming fires.

    Honeywell’s Touchpoint Pro makes gas control system design, installation, configuration and operation simple. Touchpoint Pro uses a ‘building block’ approach, providing unrivalled flexibility. The building block approach employed by Touchpoint Pro delivers real value by being able to adapt to each unique system requirement. Ease of use and intuitive configuration ensures that installation, set-up and ongoing maintenance costs are reduced, providing a ‘no compromise’ solution designed to reduce the cost of on-site safety.

    Flexible architecture
    Touchpoint Pro has been designed to deliver flexibility, allowing the system to be freely configured to meet customers’ varying needs. Touchpoint Pro’s modularity means that any system topology can be built, including centralised, distributed I/Os, or a mix of both.

    24/7 visibility of system status
    Touchpoint Pro’s central controller has a Webserver interface, which can be accessed when it is connected to a network, allowing users to remotely view status and event history, and acknowledge, reset or inhibit channels. This feature offers the possibility of system monitoring and data analysis from a remote location using multiple devices including tablets, smart phones and remote computers.

    Simple installation and maintenance
    Using a simple building block technique to create your system, Touchpoint Pro offers multiple features that simplifies installation, setup and ongoing maintenance. A key feature to this is the preloaded sensor catalogue, which contains a complete listing of all Honeywell Analytics’ gas sensors, each with a full default configuration setting. A user can choose to configure input channel settings from the sensor catalogue, resulting in a quick and simple three step configuration process. The rest of the configuration will be loaded automatically.

    Wide selection of inputs/outputs accepted
    The Touchpoint Pro Input/Output plug-in modules can be combined up to a maximum of 16 input modules (64 channels) and 32 output modules (128 channels). Modules can be located in any Touchpoint Pro enclosure and power distribution is via the communication/power Rail. Touchpoint Pro accepts analogue, digital and relay modules making it one of the most flexible controllers available.

    Intuitive user interface
    The heart of the Touchpoint Pro is the central controller, which includes the user interface. The user interface features a full colour LCD touch screen, and provides engineers with an intuitive solution to system set-up and deployment. Easily accessible icons, supported by drop-down menus ensure that even the most complex of system configurations can be commissioned with efficiency.

  • D. FS 20 X

    Based on the foundation of the highly successful and reliable SS4 Flame Detector, the FS20X Flame Detector represents a quantum leap in integrating Infrared and Ultraviolet sensing technologies. The FS20X is a Multi-Spectrum and UV/Dual IR/VIS Flame Detector with a proven UV solar-blind sensor. The FS20X exhibits faster false-alarm free response to fires over a wider temperature range and with a much longer detection range compared to conventional UV/IR detectors.

    Conventional and older technology UV/IR detectors, using narrow band 4.3 micron IR sensors, will not respond to smoky fires or if the detector lens is contaminated with oil and other substances since both UV and 4.3 micron signals are attenuated, obscured or absorbed by thick smoke or detector lens contaminants. Also, these old technology UV/IR detectors will not alarm to any fire if they are installed behind ordinary window glass.

    Dual microprocessors provide a high level of fail-safe operation combined with fast and reliable performance.
